  5. Don’t fall into the trap of self-sabotage

  6. Guard your sobriety with everything you have

  7. Embrace honesty

  8. Avoid high-risk situations

  9. Don’t let negativity eat your lunch

  10. Know when to say “no” without guilt

Tricks:

  1. Write down the harmful effects of your addiction.

  2. Make a list of positive changes you want in your life.

  3. Set a date to quit.

  4. Seek personal and professional support. 

  5. Identify your triggers.

  6. Replace bad substances for better ones before you completely quit drinking/taking drugs. (for example, if you really need alcohol instead of drinking strong liquors, try sipping on a glass of red wine, because it has some health benefits)
